Ali Bishop meets celebrity chef Paul Heathcote

Paul Heathcote, owner of the famous, Michelin-star award winning chain of restaurants, Heathcotes, gave an inspirational speech on team building at a CIM conference held in Preston last week.

As a member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, Ali Bishop attended the event and managed to speak to Paul about what his thoughts were on making the most of promoting businesses through employees.

He said: “ Our main drivers for our staff are: ‘Team’, ‘Customer’, and ‘Profit’ - giving incentives and rewards to our staff means that we can achieve our objectives in all of these areas.”

Paul also subscribes to the science of NLP and believes that simple things like remembering birthdays and taking staff on days out to show how fresh produce for their hotels are acquired, can make a huge difference to team spirit and ultimately the profitability of any business.

Ali Bishop will be attending more CIM events in the North West region throughout 2007 and will report back on the latest news and highlights in the industry.

Paul presents a cheque to children from Longridge High School.
